I feel like, for the umpteenth time, we all need a reminder that we just have to sell ourselves. Not sell as in you get put in a tray or put a sticker like they do with cars and shout “buy me”. But actually, put yourself out there, tell people about your skills, don’t put yourself down and sincerely, always talk about yourself.
I’m not saying be self-centred. Just tell us how much value you can give. What you have to offer. Be known and recognised for something.
If I think of male clothing accessories, my friend, Deji comes to mind. When I think of female hair accessories, my younger sister, Abiola comes to mind. If you think about a baker or a tailor, who comes to mind? What would make people think of you? It’s that simple.
I want people to remember me when they say blogging, writing or social media, but if I don’t loud it, nobody will remember, talk less of mentioning it.
There’s a prayer that says, “may people mention your name in a room full of opportunities”. It’s not like they are not in those rooms or they don’t know your name. They only don’t just know what you do, what they’d mention you for.
I feel challenged by this. To begin, tell me what you do? Also, how would you be selling yourself moving forward?
While I’m waiting for your reply,
