You were not unsubscribed from the newsletter. I needed a break. I’ve spent the last few weeks sorting my work, business, and personal lives. If you want to learn more about building systems, check out my guest post here.
So I had a lot of “aha!” moments this week. 1 was formally launching my consulting business for bloggers everywhere. Finally, we’ve decided on products and opened a business account. I was so uncomfortable for a long time because I knew I needed to move, act, and do something.
I don’t like being at ease with myself. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy stability. I believe the best word for this is complacent. You are sliding back if you are at ease. Complacency and redundancy are born from being too comfortable.
A quick sample, the servants’ and talent story. The young man with one talent did nothing with it; he buried it, and it bore no fruit. He eventually lost it. Guess who got it: the guy who doubled his current talent and could do a lot more with the extra. That’s how I feel now. I feel like I should be somewhere else, on a different level than where I am right now. Tasks have piled up because of my long period of comfort and I don’t want to lose.
How will you know if you’re losing what you’ve got?
Have you ever thought about doing something, say, starting a business, but never followed through? Two weeks later, you discover that someone else has started the business. You didn’t tell anyone, but you saw it in flesh and blood. You dismiss it and move on. When a new idea arises, you do not act on it. Someone else does it. The cycle continues endlessly.
Or you simply enjoy sharing ideas and coaching others, but you are not seeing results in your efforts. You’re already losing it, my dear.
All I’m saying is don’t let anyone take what you’ve got. TAKE ACTION!
a drop of honey for your day.
Congratulations on what you have started
